Cobwebs
Just a thought for my soul tribe. How are the cobwebs doing in your neck of the woods? I know we are all living in much cleaner houses, our gardens and garden sheds are pristine and we are up to date with the political shenanigans. It is good to know where we have choice.
With all this time on our hands, it is easy to distract ourselves from what is going on in the inner landscape; another piece of clean-up that is shouting out to be attended to.
In case you didn't get the memo, life is not going back to the same ole same ole when this virus skidaddles. You will be in a different world and to prepare for that you will need to open up to a new you to meet it. The cobwebs of fear and dust bunnies of doubt need your attention, just like the mess in the yard. First you see it, then you attend to it and then you take steps to be with it.
We don't like the sensation of fear. And we do lots of addictive stuff to avoid it. Awareness of the sensation in the body; willingness to attend to it through meditation, journalling, drawing, conversing or just noticing and it dissolves.
And when it comes back, turn up the dimmer switch, light it up and bingo! If you ignore the mess in the yard, resist it or just kick it with frustration, no change. Once you deal with the cobwebs of fear you have clearer vision and become more conscious all round You can more easily then imagine a new world, sustainable and friendly and equitable for all life. That, or the fear that will continue to enslave you to habit and consumption. Your menu. Your choice. PS I love cobwebs!
